
Dr. Mithlesh Jayas Mukherji has a doctorate in Political Science from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India. She has been a faculty at the Department of Politics and International Studies, Pondicherry University, Pondicherry, and St. Ann’s College for Women, Osmania University, Hyderabad. Her keen interest areas of research are gender studies, Indian politics and international relations. Dr. Mukherji is a recipient of the Nehru Research Fellowship from the Center for Nehru Studies, Aligarh Muslim University in 2004, and is also a recipient of the U.S. Scholarship on U.S. Foreign Policy (Study of United States Institutes, or SUSI, 2021) sponsored by the U.S. Department of State. She received a grant from the Indian Council for Social Science Research in 2019 to organize a National Seminar on India’s Foreign Policy. She is a member of the Indian Political Science Association (IPSA) and has been a Joint Secretary of its South Zone. She has published many research papers in reputed national journals and been a part of many book projects as well.
