
Dr. Estefania Cruz Lera is an associate researcher working at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM)’s Research Center on North America. Her main lines of research are U.S.-Mexico relations, Latino politics, and political incorporation of minorities. Dr. Cruz Lera teaches and supervises theses in the UNAM School of Political Sciences and its postgraduate program. She has been a short-term visiting researcher at ETH-Zurich (Switzerland), and Brown University and Georgetown University (United States). In 2017, she was recognized as an Emerging Researcher in Diversity and Social Inclusion by the Mellon Foundation-City University of New York alliance. In 2021 she was recognized by the U.S. Department of State and the University of Delaware as a SUSI Scholar in U.S. Foreign Policy.
