Ishani Naskar serves as Professor at the Department of International Relations Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India. Professor Naskar specializes in Indian foreign policy and takes keen interest in matters related to China, especially Chinese foreign policy. Naskar is a practitioner of track two diplomacy with Chinese counterparts and BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation) think tanks. Her latest publication is a chapter on “Neoliberalism, Geoeconomics and the Chinese Reality: The BRI Experience in Southeast Asia” (Palgrave Macmillan 2024).
